Background
Classic Micro Systems was founded in 1986 by Dave McCann who began by developing a
vertical-market accounting system written in R:base and designed for court reporting agencies.
Dave also provided freelance
computer training services for several years through several computer training firms in the Southern
California area to such companies as Northrop, Disney, LACTC/MTA, and Los
Amigos Research among others.
In 1989, we became Novell Authorized and
sold computers and servers manufactured by Acer and Everex. From that point, we have
worked to establish long-term relationships with prominent hardware and
software vendors like Intel and Microsoft and have provided products under
our own label but built upon superior Intel technology. We have been a proud
member of the Intel Product Dealer program since its inception and an
authorized Microsoft OEM System Builder for almost as long!
This early experience in the programming and training field shaped our
focus on both the technical side as well as the user side of computing.
And we continue to evolve and utilize the latest technology from
industry-leading technology companies, always finding ways that these
technologies will benefit our clients.
How Can We Help You Today
I encourage you to review our Services web pages as you'll find detailed
descriptions of the products and services that we offer. Although
we offer highly competitive prices, please do not use our services if you're simply
looking for the "best price" as we do not subscribe to the
warehouse store philosophy. We are not in business to "move boxes"
but rather, our sales model is one of value-added service so that you can expect to get better
researched products and better delivery of service for which we are compensated
moderately.
One of the primary areas of value-added service that we provide is personal service.
Our goal is to establish a long-term relationship and assist each and every client achieve
their computing goals by providing solutions to their individual needs. We accomplish this
by maintaining direct and personal contact with our client base and continually reviewing
new products and keeping up on new technology so we can apply it in those situations where
is may be useful. At the same time, we strive to provide the most cost-effective solutions
because we know that your dollars must be put to good use in this climate of constant
technological change.
At Classic Micro Systems, we help you compute the right future.
